Scot Covington - After living all over the US , and making wine all over the world , Scot landed the job of Winemaker at Trione Vineyards. Scot is making world class wines and living the good life in one of Sonoma County's most impressive locals. With a degree in hand from Fresno State , and Sonoma calling him home, Pier Paolo returned to his home county. After working for some very well know wineries , Pier Paolo has taken a job for The County of Sonoma as an Agricultural Assistant, in The Invasive Insect Protection Program. We will find out that the wine industry isn't just tasting and spitting. The work and concern the County ,and the State put into pest prevention are a big part in putting a nice bottle of wine on our tables.

Graduating from Fresno State , one of the best schools in the US for wine , Christy followed her heart to Mendocino County and Lazy Creek Vineyards. As Winemaker Christy has a penchant for Pinot Noir , and is part of the growing female influence in the industry. We will talk about the new releases from Lazy Creek , and what she expects from the 2015 vintage.







Part of the fifth generation of Italian heritage , Joe is the VP/Cheesemaker at Valley Ford Cheese Co.  Located close to the Sonoma Coast , the Jersey Milk Farmstead Italian Cheeses from Valley Ford are one more reason that Sonoma County is famous for its' agricultural bounty. Joe will give us some insight into life on the dairy ranch, and the passion needed for being a cheesemaker.

4/29 - Larry Van Aalst talks to Steve Falk & Jil Child

Steve Falk - CEO  of Sonoma Media and Publisher of Northern California's premier Wine Country newspaper, The Press Democrat, Steve comes from a background of journalism , and community service. On the start up team for USA Today, and moving  to the San Francisco Chamber of Commerce , Steve went on to be the Publisher of The San Francisco Chronicle. His efforts with the Chronicle Wine Competition , propelled it to the largest competition of American wines in the world. The newest project in the wine world is The North Coast Wine Challenge,with The Press Democrat as it's sponsor. Steve will be with us to announce the winners and tell us about the Public Tasting coming up next month.





Jil Child - A partner in Wine Tours of the World, Jil is also a sommelier who both organizes and judges at Wine Competitions. Her position at Vineyard and Winery Management Magazine , puts her in the perfect spot to feel the pulse of the wine industry. Jil was a judge at the big North Coast Wine Challenge and will be talking about the "Best of the Best" competition
